History

Peter George Banks are luxury British Jewellers with a reputation for quality, craftsmanship and service spanning 75 years. Independent and family owned our heritage is genuine and uninterrupted since 1935. Founded on honesty and courtesy, we are passionate about fine jewellery and luxury timepieces and are proud to offer collections from some of the leading manufacturers.

Peter George Banks, previously of George Banks Jewellers was involved in the family run business originally set up in 1935 by Peters grandfather in Preston. Peter's father, a watchmaker by trade then joined the business with Peter following later in 1977. Here he amassed 32 years of personal experience in the jewellery and watch industry going on to run the successful George Banks store in Bowness, opening in 2000. In July 2009 Peter launched his first independent store in Kendal becoming one of the areas finest diamond and luxury wristwatch specialists.
